The lightest standalone airbag system from Alpinestars, the Tech-Air® 3 is designed to be worn over or under your motorcycle jacket. It is the efficient and practical choice for touring riders, urban commuters, and off-road adventure riders. Featuring a waterproof main chassis and waterproof ECU and electronics, the sleek, standalone system can also be worn under a motorcycle jacket, including an Alpinestars Tech-Air® Ready jacket or any leather or textile jacket, provided the jacket offers sufficient space for the airbag to inflate. Tech-Air® 3 allows riders to enjoy their daily commute even more, knowing they are protected.

Tech-Air® 3 is a fully autonomous active airbag system and does not require external connections or sensors on the motorcycle to operate the system.

Tech-Air® 3 has 6 integrated sensors (3 accelerometers (1 triaxial accelerometer) and 3 gyroscopes (1 triaxial gyroscope)) to provide the best impact monitoring in a variety of dynamic riding situations and even while stationary.

The Tech-Air® 3 airbag system is automatically activated via the magnetic zipper.

The vest can be easily stored in a backpack or under the motorcycle seat when not in use.

Tech-Air® 3 features a diagonal zipper that fully covers the chest while concealing the internal airbag. The magnetic zipper is easy to use and provides a secure closure system for the airbag garment.

An LED indicator on the front chest shows the operating status of the airbag. The LED indicator also includes a haptic warning signal that uses vibrations to confirm that the system is active and alerts the rider when the battery is low.

Tech-Air® 3 includes Alpinestars' second-generation compact electronic control unit (ECU), located in the ECU pocket in the upper back of the Tech-Air® 3 inner vest.

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0) connectivity with the Tech-Air® app allows users to monitor the system's operating status and battery level and provides a detailed map of motorcycle rides through the MyRide app.

Upgradable system software is accessible via the Tech-Air® app.

The integrated back protector pocket can accommodate additional passive back protection.

Tech-Air® 3 uses an impact detection algorithm that uses artificial intelligence to accurately monitor when the airbag is deployed in the event of an impact, allowing the airbag to provide active protection while riding on the road and in a variety of riding conditions, even when stationary.
